Steve Loewen’s lifelong obsessions are plants and gardening... he’s been gardening since he was able to plant seeds! With a M.Sc. (Agr.) degree, Steve has worked for Stokes Seeds as a plant breeder and operated a mail-order perennial nursery. Currently, Steve is a researcher and teacher at the University of Guelph (Canada).

Phillip Fourie is an enthusiastic amateur gardener. The challenge of finding tried and tested plants and stretching the boundaries of Plant Hardiness Zones fascinates him endlessly. A native of South Africa, every year Phillip cannot wait for Spring to add new colors to his garden.
